Assistance With Home Energy Costs

HEAP (Home Energy Assistance Program) is a federally-funded program that assists low-income New Yorkers with the cost of heating their homes. HEAP also offers emergency benefits for households in a heat or heat-related energy emergency.

If you qualify for HEAP, Country Propane – as an approved propane provider – will deliver propane to your home. Country Propane can help you navigate the HEAP process, which many have found to be difficult or confusing at times. We also participate in other New York State-funded programs that may be able to help you with your energy costs.

YES, YOU CAN CHANGE PROVIDERS

A common myth we hear is that once a homeowner has chosen a HEAP provider they are unable to switch providers or that the process is complicated. Let us help! You can change providers at any time and we are happy to assist you in your transition to ensure your home stays warm and your stress level at a minimum.

The 2021-2022 Regular HEAP benefit opened October 1, 2021.
